first U.S. patent issued to a woman on May 15,1809 for

boosting the nation’s hat  industry. Kies a Connecticut

native invented a process for weaving straw with silk

or thread.

6.Kanti(1100) was the first woman poetess of Kannada.

She adorned the court of Hoysala king Ballal I.Poet

Nagachandra  who called himself Abhinava Pampa

was her contemporary in the same court.

50 most powerful women in the world (2013).

4.Naina Lal Kidwai is the Group General Manager and

Country Head of HSBC Bank. She was the 40th in

Fortunes 50 most powerful women in the world(2013)

5.Kalpana Morparia is the C.E.O. of South Asia and India

operations at J.P.Morgan Chase and Co.(Financial

institution of America).

6.Shikha Sharma(B:1960) is the C.E.O. of AXIS Bank.

(37th in Fortunes 50 most powerful women in the world-2013)

7.Vijayalakshmi Iyer is the chairperson and M.D. of Bank of India.

8.Shubhalakshmi is the President and M.D. of Allahabad Bank.
